The room sits within the Edwardian pavilion plan complex on Kings Tableland, designed by architect George Sydney Jones and opened in 1903 as a tuberculosis sanatorium for male patients. The facility operated for 96 years before closing in May 1999. Part of the Queen Victoria Sanitorium series.
