The item opens closes well and has it's original glass and mourning hair. I'm unsure if the glass section can be opened, it looks sealed shut. The front and back engine turned sections are rolled gold. the rest of the locket is a pinchbeck style alloy. The front and rear panels has some dents on them, see pictures video.
