F-14 Tomcat - "Sundowners Tomcat" Print Mugs & Drinkware After tracing the cargo lifter'sEntering service in 1974, the Tomcat served as the US Navy's primary air superiority fighter and interceptor. It's primary weapon was the long range AIM 54 Phoenix missile but it also carried the Sparrow and Sidewinder missiles for short and medium range targets as well as being armed with an internal 20mm cannon. Steadily updated through the years, the Tomcat remained the Navy's main fighter for 3 decades. The Tomcat was retired in 2006 after 32
