Timing Chain Tensioner - Suits Chrysler Small Block ( Replaces Mopar Part No# P5007709) RV1 Due to the low volumesTiming chain tensioner replaces the factory cam thrust plate factory fitted to small block engines. This new unit not only eliminates the thrust from the camshaft, but also keeps constant tension on the timing chain. Mopar Small blocks have a much larger distance between the camshaft & crankshaft compared to other V8 engines. This enables the timing chain to eventually cause slack and "Whip Effect" which enables the cam & ignition timing to alter.
